LECTURE COURSE
“Almost on Ground Zero“
About those who come back from the frontlines and those who wait for them at home.
2 days х 6 hours
The course lasts for two days, Saturday and Sunday, from 9 AM until 3 PM.
Live
The lectures are not pre-recorded but delivered online in live mode. A Q&A session is envisaged.
From both sides
We’ll analyze the psychoemotional state of those coming back from the frontlines and those waiting for them at home.
War traumas are everywhere
Our heroes are coming back from the frontlines – for vacation or treatment. There are those who are demobilized due to objective reasons. They come to their families back from hell. They are exhausted and have seen too much death. They have survived the scariest thing that can happen to a human being.
They come back to their wives and children, sometimes to their jobs. But this life is not cozy. The families are exhausted with fear and anxiety. Missile attacks, destruction and conflict escalation fill them with grief, so they are in survival mode every day, both physically and mentally. There are no “peaceful towns” anymore; terrorist attacks and losses are everywhere, with no end in sight.
Our country has long ago transformed into a battlefield without borders.
Original course for combatants and their families
My name is Tetiana Stanislavska; I am a psychoanalyst and a clinical psychologist.
Since the very first day of war, I’ve been working in Kyiv with the victims and now with the military and their families. During the course I will tell you what happens to the mind during the war and provide recommendations for self-help and interactions among those who are “almost on ground zero”.
I am looking forward to seeing you there.
More about me
All of us are almost on ground zero. But we have to move on
Almost on Ground Zero” will be useful for you if:
After your husband’s return from the frontlines it seems to you that he has changed and looks not too happy about coming home;
You face aggression in your closest circle – it overfills your family and yourself;
In this war, you’ve seen and experienced a lot, but nobody “understands” or “respects” that;
Your colleague came back to the office from the frontlines and you don’t know which topics are safe for conversations and which are taboo and how you should communicate in general;
You are living through adultery or divorce against the background of war;
You don’t have enough energy for everyday routine, you have become slow in your thinking and almost nothing brings you joy;
You are anxious when thinking about the future but memories about your past experiences are even more disturbing;
You hope that when the war finishes, everything will go back to the way it used to be.
War traumas happen not only on the frontlines. The whole country is a battlefield
